The calm one. The only one who teaches the money lesson, and the only one who talks with Buó.
Kay is the neighborhood's calm otter. She watches before she speaks, smiles before she explains, and keeps her coins in a jar that barely jingles, because she almost never opens it. When Leo races ahead, Kay does not stop him: she walks beside him until the right question shows up on its own.
